Day 23

Day 23:

I still love the Bears although they lost. I thought we had hope towards the end, but then we just threw it away. Cutler was a bit of a pansie, but what's done is done. Chicago still has hope in the Bulls.

Day 22

Day 22:

Went snowboarding with my brother, Matthew ALL DAY on Saturday. We had an absolute blast, despite the negative wind chills. I only took one hard spill, but that's only because I got ambitious and flew over a jump. Not to mention, it was right underneath the ski lift, so several people asked me if I was ok. haha. It was that hard of a fall. I tumbled and rolled, making a cloud of dust. Managed to bash my head on the ground too. But it was still worth it. :)

Did I mention that I couldn't have asked for a better day to do it? The sunset was AWESOME.

Below is Matthew.

That's me.

Me.

Matthew.

Day 21

Day 21:

Took a ton of pictures of Panda (Amanda) today. If you're wondering, I have about a billion nicknames for her. Ramada, Schlaranda, Clarida, Panda, Dude, Trudy, Kakiki...etc. She has been my best friend since kindergarten. I cannot think of anyone i get along with better. We have been living together for three years (since we've been at Cornerstone together), and never have any issues whatsoever. We absolutely love every second we spend together, and I've never had and never will have a another friendship like hers. I could spill about her forever, but it would probably be WAY to long of a post. :) She's a beauty though, see below.

Day 20

Day 20:

I want to be more like Christ. Really bad. I'm definitely not one to post a picture of what i write in my journal, but since this entry is mostly straight from the word of God, I have no problem posting it. I've been going through the New Testament and picking things out that God calls us to be like. Doing these things don't make us more worthy of God's love, by any means. I don't have a legalistic view of it. They're just things that the Lord commends, that He encourages of his children, and I want so bad to be all of these things, but sadly, I don't think I'm ONE of them. I trust the Lord's work in my life, and I'm really trying to meditate on these things and apply them in my life. It's the best way I can bless people and glorify the Lord, by giving him my heart and submitting to his will.

This will probably be my most vulnerable and personal picture I post...yikes. Take it for what it is!

Day 19

Day 19:

Kim, Panda, and I are finally back together at school, and it feels beyond wonderful. Can't even begin to explain how blessed I am by these two, and how much stinkin fun we have together. We're always in our own little world, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Day 18

Day 18:

Another boring day. Although this lava lamp did make it more interesting. After a while, I decided it wasn't the best idea for a night light, because I can't fall asleep! I'm too busy watching it. It's honestly so interesting. Today, (Jan. 23), I shook it to see what it would do, and the lava turned into a billion tiny tiny dots, and when I left several hours later, it was still like that...I think i broke it. :/

Day 17

Day 17:

This must have been a boring day. Eating a string cheese and made it into a star without realizing it!!!!!! Thought that was so cool. Oh, the little things in life.

Day 16

Day 16:

We stayed the night in Chicago and got up early to go to Moody Church Downtown. This is Jami walking to the car from the hotel. This wall was sweet.

January 16, 2011 (16/365)

The church building was INCREDIBLE too.

Day 15

Day 15:

Saturday morning, Dad, Jame, and I headed to Chicago. Jami and I went thrift shopping all day at the humongous Salvation Army. There were a billion golf clubs.

Then there was this sweet vase room, but they were super expensive.

Jame and I had picked out a TON of clothes, and there were no changing rooms, so we found a corner, blocked it off, and tried on all the clothes. We're classy. But you gotta do what you gotta do.

I love this. "Stories to Remember". I feel like I have a lot of those.

I like this tree. Although the fruit is falling off, it reminded me of one of the trees in the garden of Eden.

After thrifting, we went and got our nails done at "Kiki's Salon".

This is Kiki's new puppy Chiuaua. The puppy's name was Whiskey. It kept taking this lady's sock who was getting a pedicure. It was funny.

And last, but DEFINITELY not least, we went to the Miami Heat vs. Chicago Bulls game. What an incredible game to go to. Kyle Korver- my hero. D-Rose- insanity. D-Wade- incredible.

January 15, 2011 (15/365)

This was our view from the hotel room afterwards.

Day 14

Day 14:

I came home after a long week of full days at the elementary school in GR on Friday. Jami had just woken up around 4:00 p.m. after working all night at the hospital. She never wants dinner food when she wakes up, because it's her breakfast time. So, we made these mini-crepes and ate them with whip cream, cut up strawberries, and a cream cheese sweet filling. They were so good.

Day 13

Day 13:

I absolutely love this quote. It's something I'm working on---keeping the peace. When people are too easily offended, tension too quickly arises and messes everything up. So here's a thumbs down to being too easily offended. Let's all just learn to brush things off and trust in what's faithful and never-ending. Let's be joyful and content. Let's live vibrantly. Let's glorify the Lord with every shot we get.

January 13, 2011 (13/365)

This was just from that same night.

Day 12

didn't realize how behind I was on this! Sorry!

Day 12:

I had quite a long day at the elementary school, so I didn't really have much time to take anything cool, so i stuck with what i could find in the apartment. I made this frame for Kimmy, my beloved roommate.

Day 11

Day 11:

This is the face of boredom. Amanda's been studying since she's been back, and Kim's at her internship training. The boringness calls for a boring picture...my apologies.

January 11, 2011 (11/365)

Day 10

Day 10:

Back at Cornerstone, getting into the swing of things. I'm in the process of finishing my TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) practicum hours at a local elementary school, so I'm there from 7:50-3:15 every day for the next two weeks. When I get back to the apartment, I go to the weightroom to do my volleyball post-season workout, and then come back to the empty apartment again. Amanda is doing her internships for her Psych major, so she doesn't get back until 6:45 every evening, hence the pictures of scarves. :) I don't know what it is about scarves, but I wear one almost every day. Not only are they cute, but when my neck's warm, my whole body is normally warm. And i hate being cold.

January 10, 2011 (10/365)

Oh, and Amanda and I made a tent our first night together again with our bunk beds. :)

Day 9

Day 9:

These are two of my VERY best friends. I have known and grown up both of them for the majority of my life. Amanda has been my best friend since 1st grade. Can you believe that? And this is our third year living together at Cornerstone. Not many best friends get to live with each other for 3 straight years. It's been BEYOND a blessing and she is such a significant, loyal figure in my life. She's my accountability. People always talk about how funny it is how we get along so well. When we hear friends talking about "roommate issues", it's so foreign to us because we've NEVER had any problems. Caleb has also been significant in my life. He's been like a bigger brother to me for the longest time, and I've loved seeing him grow into the man he is now...marrying my best friend! We've always had a deep care for each other. I love how involved I have been in their relationship from the beginning, and I always joke around saying that we're all three dating because I'm always with them. :)

This is the day that I went back up to Cornerstone in our apartment. Cabe was up visiting Amanda, and it just so happens that this day marked six more months until their wedding!!!!! I'm so stinkin excited for them to start their life together.

Day 8

Day 8:

I had an awesome photoshoot (first one ever) with my sweet childhood friend, Kori today. She has a horse named Otis, and we went to the barn and took a bunch of pictures. Kori is absolutely stunning. Here are some of my absolute favorites! I had a really hard time picking which one I wanted for today's picture. :) Gosh, she's GORGEOUS!
