Day 30

Day 30:

My sister and her best friend teach Sunday School for young 4's and 5's at our church in Sawyer. She asked me to come in to take some pictures of her kids.

Today they were learning about Ester and how all the women dressed up beautifully and went in front of the king, and then the king would choose his queen. So for the story, one of the kids was the king, and all the girls got to go over to the table where there were scarves and jewelry and get dressed up. Then the king chose Ester, the one he loved the most, and God worked through Ester as the queen to help the people. It was so fun seeing the girls marvel at the entire table that was filled with treasures. They were so overwhelmed!

3. I have never seen someone so quick to serve and love on his friends and family.
4. He takes the best care of me EVER.
5. He played for the Dallas Mavericks.
6. He is the hardest worker I've ever known.
7. I could go on for a long time.

Day 28

Day 28:

World Party. How chaotic, yet so awesome. At the elementary school I'm at, they have this thing called World Party because there's so much diversity. At World Party, they all dress up in the clothes from their countries and do a fashion show in front of the whole school.

The school represents 46 different countries, and it's a perfect place for me to be for my ESL minor. I can't get enough of that place.

This is Miriam from Sudan, a gorgeous third grader.

Day 27

Day 27:

What a happy day. A visit from this guy. He's the kind of guy with eyes that you get lost in...eyes that see right to the inside of you. I really love this kid. Seriously though, how handsome can you get?!?!

Day 26

Day 26:

sick.as.a.dog.

Today is not a fun day. I got maybe 2 hours of sleep last night because I was up either coughing, struggling for breath, or feeling like I was going to throw up. I decided to tough it out and go to our 6 a.m. vball workouts anyways hoping that a good sweat would make me feel better and help me fall back asleep later. It's nice that my first class of the day starts at 4:45, so I have the whole day to try and make myself feel better. So far, the strategy consists of wildberry zinger tea, airborne, cough syrup, and some Mumford & Sons on Pandora.

Today's picture is clearly my hands on my tea. Anyone who knows me can vouch that I've never had the most attractive looking hands, not to mention they feel like sandpaper. It's genetic, I can't help it. :) So here I am making myself vulnerable again by posting a picture I'm self conscious of.

However, it is nice to know that the only boy that holds them doesn't mind.
